There are shorts that flat-out work. Coffee Virgin is one of those. A kid has never had coffee, and after his Dad leaves his cup unattended, our young explorer goes and drinks some, entering an MK-Ultra-like state of being.
The animation is great, flashy, and funny. The punchline is hilarious, and most importantly, it does last a frame too long.
My favorite part? The kid. It's hard to get a kid who can give you so many different emotions at such a level, but this kid manages it. It's playin' places right now, including the Santa Cruz Film Festival.
