| I loved ECW. Having watched two ECW Docs (and I'll be watching the WWE's first ECW doc shortly) and and they're both very good coverage of different aspects of the company. Here, the focus isn't the wrestlers, it's the fans. It tells the story of the company as a home for the fans, and the wrestlers AS fans. That's something that is difficult because so often the wrestlers don't want to be seen as fans. One of the most important figures that was absent in Forever Hardcore was Joel Gertner. He provided so much of the sexuality and brought so much heat. He was the reason The Dudleys got over so thoroughly. The discussion of the Dudleys was great and provided an impressive point to the film. The footage of Buhbuh Dudley goading the fans is one of the most impressive, and the general use of ECW footage, especially Fan Cam footage, was the best part. |
