| While combing through Wrestling DOcumentaries on YouTube, I came across this piece of work. It's Olde Wrestling, a promotion that is to wrestling as the 1920s Baseball leagues are to MLB. They are re-creating a time in wrestling when things were different, Only thing is, they're not. You see, they're using a lot of modern moves (Moonsaults are an excellent example) and the matches don't appear to be 4 hours of headlocks and body-scissors. The characters are old-timey, and a lot of fun. Heidi Lovelace, a woman I've not seen much of and maybe I've jsut caught her on bad nights because she's not one of my faves in Chikara, is wonderfully committed to her character here (Heidi "The Riveter" Lovelace) and her promo here is amazingly brilliant! This is a part of a longer doc called Marking Out that I really hope I get to see soon. |
